Your Teacher…

Born and raised in Texas, Karina has long had a passion for education. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University's acclaimed Music Education program where she studied under Baritone, Wes Moore. Buruca-Kunda then taught choir at the middle school level in Mansfield ISD where her choirs earned sweepstakes in concert and in sight-reading contests. 
Following her time in the public school classroom, Buruca-Kunda was awarded the Meadows Artistic Scholarship by Southern Methodist University where she earned her Masters in Vocal Performance as well as a Performer's Diploma in Vocal Performance. Buruca-Kunda has participated in several performance training programs and continues to learn as an artist which helps to better inform and serve her students. She is a passionate advocate for arts education and has been a private voice instructor in the DFW area and schools since 2018. Several of her students have earned a place in Texas Regional and State Choirs as well as many scholarships to study music at the collegiate level.
